At the invitation of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry, Prof. WEI Mingdeng from Fuzhou University visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) on July 9th, 2010. During his stay, Prof. WEI delivered a seminar report entitled “Synthesis and Optoelectronic Properties of Nano / mesoporous Storage Materials” and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff of FJIRSM.

At present, Prof. WEI Mingdeng is the winner of “Minjiang Scholar Professors” in Fuzhou University. He is mainly engaged in researches on design and synthesis of Nano-materials and  porous materials and their relevant  applications in the dye-sensitized solar cell, lithium-ion battery and Fischer - Tropsch synthesis catalyst. So far Prof. WEI has published over 50 research papers on some famous SCI journals including Advanced Materials, and his research papers have been cited for more than 500 times by some influential scientific journals such as Chem.Rev., Prog. Mater. Sci, Adv. Mater, and JACS. Meanwhile, he has one authorized Japanese invention patent and four authorized Chinese invention patents.
