At the invitation of the Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Materials Chemistry and Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Prof. WANG Chunru from Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences(CAS),visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) on November 5th, 2010. During his stay, Prof. WANG delivered a seminar report entitled “Exploration of new fullerene materials” and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff of FJIRSM.
Now Prof. WANG Chunru is a research professor with the Institute of Chemistry, and deputy director of the Key Laboratory of Molecular Nanostructure and Nanotechnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. For quite a long time, Prof. WANG has been mainly engaged in researches on fullerenes, metal fullerenes, nanotubes, diamond and other carbon nano-materials and has made an eye-catching achievement in the researches on nanoscale devices. Furthermore, he has succeeded in the industrialization of fullerenes and metal fullerenes. So far Prof. WANG has published more than 90 research papers on some famous scientific journals includingNature,Science,JACS,Phys. Rev. Lett.,Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. and Adv. Mater.. His published papers have been cited for over 2000 times.
