Prof. CHEN Jun from Nankai University visited Fujian Institute of Research on the Structure of Matter (FJIRSM) at the invitation of the State Key Laboratory of Structural Chemistry on January 20th, 2011. During his stay, Prof. CHEN delivered a seminar report entitled “The development of secondary cell materials” and carried out detailed discussion with the research staff of FJIRSM.

At present, Prof. CHEN Jun is a doctoral supervisor with the College of Chemistry, Nankai University, the winner of Chang Jiang Scholars Program of the Ministry of Education, and the winner of the Distinguished Youth Award of the National Natural Science Foundation (NNSF). For quite a long time, Prof. CHEN has been engaged in researches on the basic theory and relevant application of energy material chemistry and made a distinguished achievement on efficient energy storage and conversion. So far, Prof. CHEN has published over 200 high-quality SCI research papers on some famous scientific journals such as J. Am. Chem. Soc, Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Adv. Mater.Meanwhile, he has got more than 20 authorized invention patents from P. R. China, USA and the European countries.
