报告摘要：

Due to pressures from both energy and environment, vehicle electrification and its related technologies have experienced considerable achievements during last twenty years. Particularly, the automotive application of lithium-ion batteries (LIB) was very successful, which resulted in the commercialization of plug-in hybrid vehicles and electric vehicles, where the total energy of xEV batteries in 2016 surpassed that of small batteries used in smart phones, PCs, and power tools, etc.

The author introduces the development history of xEV happened in 2000s in Japan, and reviews the current xEV markets and lithium-ion battery technologies, which include LIB in Toyota Prius, Nissan Leaf, and Tesla Model 3. In addition to the current R&D trends of conventional LIB, a brief introduction of all solid-state batteries is given, which are expected to commercialize in the next decade.

随着近年丰田燃料电池汽车Mirai投入市场，固体高分子型燃料电池（PEFC）已成为替代锂离子电池的下一代车载电源系统关键部件，受到广泛重视。

现阶段车载燃料电池的研发生产应用中心在日本。本讲演结合报告人在空间用固体高分子型燃料电池研究的经验，介绍国内外车载燃料电池系统技术发展现状，为国内下一步研发方向和政策支持提供参考意见。
