 林平，男，1969年6月出生，博士，副研究员。1991年7月毕业于厦门大学化学系，获理学学士学位。1991年8月~2001年2月，在福建物质结构研究所工作，分别在催化室从事草酸酯加氢催化剂和结构室吴新涛院士课题组从事过渡金属含硫原子簇的合成与性能研究。1998年晋升助理研究员。 2001年3月~2006年1月出国留学，在英国纽卡斯尔大学(University of Newcastle Upon Tyne)化学系攻读学位（导师：Richard A. Henderson教授），2006年1月获理学博士学位。攻读博士学位期间的研究工作涉及原子簇和超分子化合物的合成与性能、金属催化有机环加成反应和金属配合物反应动力学机理的研究。2006年2月回国至福建物质结构研究所杜少武研究员课题组工作,任副研究员。已发表SCI论文30多篇。与福建物质结构研究所吴克琛研究员合作研究的项目“金属簇合物红外非线性光学材料的研究”获得过2003年福建省科学技术奖三等奖（排名第三）。目前的研究方向和兴趣领域：(1)新型功能超分子化合物的设计合成与性能；（2）仿生金属簇合物的结构调控与性能研究。
